1.) What exactly is it that you do in the Adult Industry?
What company do you currently work for? What's your job title
or duties?
I
am the Web Development Coordinator for Klixxx.com and am also
Senior Writer for Klixxx Magazine. I also do marketing and consulting
work for industry programs and businesses - like affiliate programs
and webmaster resources.
2.) When did you actually get started in the industry?
I've been working in the online industry since 1998.
3.) If you could change one thing about the Adult Industry
what would it be and why?
I would get rid of the small percentage of webmasters
and businesses that aren't running honest businesses. Most members
of the adult community do everything they can to comply with
the law and processing regulations, but the folks that don't
really hurt the industry as a whole in the long run.
4.) What advice would you offer to anyone that's just
starting out in the industry?
Learn all you can - and try as many different things
as you can afford to try. So many times people start out with
just one thing and get stuck in a rut, missing out on great
opportunities or a chance to explore areas that they just might
find success. Network on message boards, in chat rooms, attend
online webmaster radio shows and attend conferences & expos
whenever possible. It's not always about WHAT you know - but
also about WHO you know. Get to know the people who run the
affiliate programs, traffic-generating programs and content
providers within the industry. Forging good, solid relationships
early on will help you out in many ways down the road.

What are your hobbies?
I'm particularly proud of how Klixxx.com is shaping up. We've
got some excellent writers contributing to both the web-based
articles that we provide and to the magazine articles that we
showcase monthly on our site. Our goal is to create an interactive,
webmaster support and educational resource for our readers -
a place where they can go to get more information on articles
they've read in our magazine, and get the latest news &
announcements that affect their businesses. I think we've accomplished
quite a lot in our first year with this new online format -
and 2004 looks even more promising with lots of great new features,
tools and support options coming available for Klixxx readers.
6.) Are you married? Have a girlfriend or boyfriend? Or
both? *giggle*
In addition to my online work, I'm a stay-at-home mother
of two. We also homeschool both children so that takes up a
lot of my free time. I enjoy reading, listening to music, watching
movies and playing the piano.

Married - for over 16 years!
8.) How much time would you say you spend working in a
day and do you take regular vacations?
I've learned from my mistakes. I used to work 18+ hours
per day and never took a vacation - unless you counted the travel
time to and from industry events. Now I make sure to limit my
time online to a regular 8-hour day - and no more than 10 when
working on a big project or event. I now also take weekends
- of course I still check email and peek in on the boards -
but I don't sit down for hours at a time and crank out the work.
As the old saying goes, "nobody ever died wishing they'd
spent more time at the office." I make sure to spend as
much time with my family as is possible - and actually take
some time for myself as well.

Is there anything personal of professional that you would like
to add or that you would like others to know about you?
I've grown and changed a lot since I first came on to
the scene back in '98. I've been blessed with many friends and
supporters over the years as I've paved my way through the industry.
Sure, I hit some rocky roads with former business partners -
but I now view those as learning events, as those situations
really helped me to grow in a positive way. I'm not as naïve
as I used to be - but I still have faith that most people, when
given the opportunity, will do the right thing. I haven't been
disappointed too many times when dealing with fellow webmasters
and I hope that my luck continues.

What's the one thing you like best about Rated Hot?
Easiest
question so far! I came to Rated Hot first because of the people
who ran it - first PMGames and now the lovely Marsha AKA "Princess"
Youngs. However, once I got there I found that the rest of that
community - the webmasters who post there on a daily basis -
were also pretty amazing. The discussions on industry topics
and issues, as well as the conversations about daily life, really
help me to get through the day and help me to better understand
my fellow webmaster. I'm very thankful that we all have a place
like RatedHot.com to come to that will help keep us informed
and can bring us together as a community. Keep up the good work!
