1.) What exactly is it that you do in the Adult Industry?
What company do you currently work for? What's your job title
or duties?
GA Media Corporation (the company Gary-Alan and I own) operates a range of webmaster sites and services ranging from resource sites (15 of them) to programming and translation services along with a marketing and consulting company in addition to our gay affiliate program http://www.studmoney.com. My current role in the company is Chief Operations Officer, meaning I run the day to day admin side of the business as well as ensuring that our sites operate without any hiccups although I pretty much do anything and everything in order to ensure we keep ahead of the game business wise.
2.) When did you actually get started in the industry?
A relatively long time ago lol, actually I started working on the internet around 1994 running an online book retailer site, from there I started looking at alternative revenue streams for my company and started to dabble in the adult industry. I believe I went full time in the adult industry around '99 at which time I started building free sites and AVS sites, shortly thereafter I noticed a lack of educational sites for international webmasters so launched the first international adult webmaster resource site http://www.europeanwebmasters.com.
3.) If you could change one thing about the Adult Industry
what would it be and why?
The lack of professionalism, it just seems like ever since day 1 of entering the adult industry it has been full of individuals and companies who do not think of the work we do as business, many companies do not have a solid marketing / business plan and many individual webmasters as well as employees working for some of the well known companies treat what we all do as a game and a long party where they get drunk, high, laid for free. The sooner we get rid of those 'webmasters' (and I do use that term lightly) out of the industry the better it will be for everyone involved. There are to many individuals in the adult industry currently who seem to be more concerned about getting high post counts on the numerous forums than there are who are serious about making a long term profit. Even some of the old timers who were certainly around before I started in the industry in '99 seem to be concerned more with the daily BS and pissing matches than what thy used to be. I guess it is part of the evolutionary life cycle of the adult industry and fortunately, there does appear to be some change in this area however its going to be a year or two before we see the complete picture with these changes.
4.) What advice would you offer to anyone that's just
starting out in the industry?
Although to some this may seem like a simple answer, they should treat the adult work they do as just that, work. Although it may look like fun and games at times it is a 24/7 business that needs to have a lot of groundwork laid out before they even start building their first site. If from day one a new webmaster (newbie) cant afford to invest in a basic hosting plan and a domain name, then in all honesty this industry probably isn't for them.

you're most proud of.
As mentioned above, we currently own 15 resource sites, the ones we are most proud of being http://www.gaywidewebmasters.com (the longest running gay marketing resource in the industry), http://www.europeanwebmasters.com (the first international adult webmaster resource), http://www.femalewebmasters.com (the first fully operational female webmistress resource community) in addition to our own programming company, http://www.sourcecoding.com and also our affiliate program http://www.studmoney.com which features the gay reality site DILF.com.

What are your hobbies?
Hobbies? I don't follow you.. who has time for hobbies?
Actually aside from work Gary-Alan and myself have a puppy so we pretty much spend as much time as we can with her and with family and friends.
7.) Are you married? Have a girlfriend or boyfriend? Or
both? *giggle*
Married.. not until the laws change, girlfriend, nope, boyfriend yep, Gary-Alan we have been together for 2 years in August ad honestly, I think I could quite happily spend the rest of my life with him and I'm hoping he feels the same way about me which, I know he does :)
8.) How much time would you say you spend working in a
day and do you take regular vacations?
Daily work schedule to be honest we try to keep to a 9-5 schedule as much as possible although that often changes with the various challenges the constantly crop up in the adult industry. Vacation wise, we don't really do vacations instead we tend to look forward to the webmaster shows, Internext, Phoenix Forum, etc although they are primarily work we actually get to spend time with our friends and peers ho we haven't been able to spend time with since the last show, its actually quite relaxing in the sense that it gets us out of the office for more than an hour at a time :)
9.) Is there anything personal or professional that you
would like to add or that you would like others to know about
you?
Not really although I would like to re-iterate my answer to question 3 above, the adult industry is a business, treat it as one and you will go a long ay.
10.) What's the one thing you like best about Rated Hot?
You had to ask me that LOL Actually I think its wonderful how far RH has come over the last 12 months, if anyone was able to turn RH into a successful resource community it was you and the people you have around you. While other resource sites are constantly copying other peoples work its nice to see a site coming up with new ideas and ways to educate and inform adult webmasters without the need of stupid publicity stunts or plagiarizing of other peoples work.
