1.) What exactly is it that you do in the Adult Industry?
What company do you currently work for? What's your job title
or duties?
My husband and I own and run approximately 235 domains, which include pay sites, free sites, and link lists. I own and operate Sin-text, which is primarily for marketing, advertising, consulting,text design service. I also write articles for Cozy Academy and I am the moderator for Cozy Campus.
2.) When did you actually get started in the industry?
My journey began in 1998. It was a good year to enter this business.
3.) If you could change one thing about the Adult Industry
what would it be and why?
Only one thing? There are so many things I would want changed; however, since I'm only allowed one thing, believe it or not, I would change the lack of professionalism I see on the boards and in public. People post indiscriminately and accusations fly without substance. I see too little responsibility and accountability amongst my peers, which has a profound effect on the bottom line.
4.) What advice would you offer to anyone that's just
starting out in the industry?
Research and plan. Learn about sales and marketing. Treat this industry like a business because that is what it is. Invest wisely and re invest even more wisely. Pay your taxes and set up a business plan to include goals which yield immediate results and also goals for the long term. Networking is essential. If you can't afford the bigger shows, ask around on the boards to see if there are webmasters where you live.
5.) Tell us about any sites you might operate or that you're most proud of.
I own and operate Sin-text, which is my baby. It's evolved so much from its humble beginnings. I've always been fascinated with marketing and advertising. When Sin-text first opened, it was strictly a text based service. Now, my company has expanded into consultation on marketing techniques, advertising, financial and business plan consulting. Since I've a great believer in research, Sin-text is kind of a catch-all service. If my client needs an answer on anything, I will spend the time to find it, if it exists. My area of expertise is organising companies and giving them direction to increase the potential for revenue.
6.) What are your hobbies?
Hobbies? There are such things as hobbies? Seriously, though, I have a son, five dogs, plants and bird feeders. I read to relax and watch a little television, although my main interest is in learning advertising and marketing techniques from any medium.
7.) Are you married? Have a girlfriend or boyfriend? Or
both? *giggle*
I'm married to the most wonderful man and that would be Tev. He is very well known and well liked in this community of ours and a very good friend of yours, Princess.
8.) How much time would you say you spend working in a
day and do you take regular vacations?
I spend anywhere from 12-16 hours in front of this computer, with few breaks. In 2003, I traveled once a month, sometimes twice a month to conferences or trade shows or clients' cities. This year, I am going to try very hard to take a little more personal time. It's hard, though, because this is such a fast paced industry.

Is there anything personal of professional that you would like
to add or that you would like others to know about you?
I am a fairly private individual, so I don't often share what happens in my home. I believe in keeping my personal and professional life separate. I don't believe anyone cares if I get a hangnail, other than my friends. Anyone who has ever seen me post or has read my articles knows that I consider this a serious business, with the bottom line being revenue potential. For the most part, however, I want to give something back to the community which has treated me well and I want to make money. What I do for Cozy Academy and Cozy Campus is one of the ways I try to give back. I believe in confidentiality, which is why I don't have a portfolio on my site. My own husband is not privy to the information I gather. If nothing else, any client who comes to me is assured their information stays with me and is not shared. Confidentiality and honour are very important to me.

What's the one thing you like best about Rated Hot?
I love the owner, first of all. I also like the atmosphere you've created. You're always looking for ways to make life more pleasant for the webmaster. You have that knack of giving people a comfort zone and Rated Hot will succeed based on your personality and what you have to offer. It's a kickass place to be.
